Walls and integration is the title of the project presented by the Municipality of Macerata, within the Europe for Citizens Programme, approved by the European Commission and supported through one hundred thousand Euros. The Italian projects presented were three and it was awarded to the Walls and Integration project the 29th position. 
This project is aimed to stimulating the collective memory of citizens within a reflection starting from the ideological divisions of the past for inclining them toward an comprehension of the historical, political and social changes that leaded to the formation of contemporary Europe
The partners of this project (that started on the 5th of October 2015 and will end on the 4th of April 2017) are: the Gender Observatory (ODG), a cultural association of Macerata, that contributed to creation of the network and to scientific coordination, the high-school “Istituto Tecnico Commerciale Gentili” of Macerata, the University of Trento, the University of Padua, the University of Oviedo (Spain), the SUATEA, a Spanish trade union, the Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität (Germany), the University College of Cork (Ireland) and the University of Budapest (Hungary). All these institutions get expertise in design and management of European projects.
